However, a photograph taken during the Heidelberg project made me realise that I have participated in socially engaged practice in the past. Three decades ago to be precise. Nothing new there then...I simply didn't know what it was called.
Below are two images , one from the opening of the Highland Printmakers Workshop, Inverness, in 1986, the other from Huntly the other weekend. The Highland Print Workshop still operates today and provides a facility for local artists, school children and others to be exposed to and make fine art prints. I'm proud of the fact that I was one of the original group of like-minded collaborators.
